Hi everyone,

Sorry to bring back an "oldish" thread but I just purchased a '22 X3 30i and I love the look of these wheels!

Does anyone know if the 21s will fit on my model?

They are an option in AUS and I would imagine they are an option in CAN so the answer should be "yes"

I contacted my sales rep and they are an option at $500 when building the car through the configurator. Which would be the case for a 2023 today.

Even though my car is considered a "brand new" vehicle, it is a 2022, and they are unable to swap out the current 20" 699ms installed for the 718ms. They consider the 699ms to be "used".

I would need to purchase the 718ms outright at $6K+ tax. So ridiculous.

Did anyone decide to powdercoat their 718m's black? If so, did you go gloss or matte? Going to powdercoat mine but can't decide. I have a silver m40i. Open to suggestions!

I just purchased a 2018 X3 3.0i, would these fit? Where is a good place to get these for Canada, tirerack?

They definitely will fit your vehicle as it's the same generation.

In terms of purchasing the wheels, i haven't found any replicas online.

But this site which has been vetted by UK members here sells the OEM's at a much lesser price than stealerships: https://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/bm...18m_wheel_7799

I'd go gloss. Here it is on a silver m40i.

thanks so much! I'd still prefer "gently" used but this is a good backup!

I have a UK Spec 2022 M40d with 718M's in fatory black paint . However and as per the following images the paint finish in the wheel polt holes is pants. My BMW deaer says they are 'Fine' to which I disagreed due tio the fact that this poor paint finish could cause premature wheel corrosion.

I have requested that the wheels are replaced under warranty as I am not happy to have them refurbed.

Heres a few random images of the problem and it appears on all bolt holes on all four wheels.

Has anyone else have this paint issue on their 22MY M40i or M40d?......and are you happy to accept?

Is the 295 on a 9.5” rim safe?

A sincere thank you to everyone who contributed to this thread and others! I just purchased my M40i certified and was told they don’t make an all season for the 21” rim so I went with the 19”. Now I know I can get the 21” rims (718M) with an AS non-run flat and be fully content with my purchase. I love the width the the 295/35 and the stance looks great.

There was a mention of a speed rating with the larger MPS4-AS tire on the 9.5” rear rims. At what speed is the tire in the danger zone? I don’t plan to drive at high speeds often but want the option and to feel safe doing it.

**Also I will be selling my 19” 698M with RF-AS less than 1,000 miles on them. Could be a good rim to throw true winters tires on but I don’t have the space to store them.

Check the speed rating on the AS tire and use google to determine what max speed is rated for tire

Thanks, will do. I also read they require a 10” rim. Are they safe on a 9.5”

You can put 295 on stock rear 21” wheels without issue.

I'm in the process of trading / swapping my 718's (21") for a set of 699's (20") I'm not a fan of the 21" as I want more side wall and comfort that the 20" should bring.

Why don’t you increase the sidewall by 5 on the front and back? Seems like that ratio works with the stock width.

I’d be willing to trade for my 19” 698M plus cash if you are interested. If not, how much for the 718 Wheels? What tires are on them?

I'm in the UK, you'd have to remortgage the house to ship them.

Thank you for the info freshxdough. I'm on the prowl for the 718 and have my 19" rims listed for sale.

Keefy: Ah, I missed that. Nevermind then!
