Thank you. I haven't looked at the front yet but there was no paper at the rear fusebox. Thanks.

Look on the first page of this thread, there are images of the front and rear fuse boxes.

Your diagram sheet is missing from the rear box? I'd ask the dealer about that. See photo from earlier in this thread showing where it should be.

Thank you in advance!

I've looked there before, as have many of us, but this time I noticed a twist tab:

There is one on either side of this panel (that is, one below the headlight control on this side, and one below the 'start' button on the other side of the footwell), and then the panel pulls forward and down. I was expecting to find a fuse box...

No dice, from what I can see. Rejected. However, there's a connector with a few beefy wires that seem to go nowhere. Could these be for an optional fuse box that this platform or build doesn't need? I'm willing to bet that at least the red ones are 12v and could be used.

I put that panel back and moved on to the passenger side. Would this bear fruit?

bingo!

I want to point out a few things for the convenience of others. These panels have two tabs that release with 1/4 turn. The panels are also hooked in at the back as you can see in the photo below.

Be careful when attempting to re-latch the 1/4 turn tabs, they insert into plastic clips that are attached to the metal frame of the car. With just a little pressure in the wrong spot I managed to knock one of these loose and I think I lost it forever into one of the footwell panels. I'll probably need to pick one up. It's OK, I made a sacrifice for the good of the many.

Did you manage to find one of these clips? I lost one yesterday!

I think it is number 13 here? https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=51_5965

Picked it up and it is the correct clip. Part number 07149495079.

Cost me £4.85 though so not cheap!

Hope this helps anyone else that loses one.

This worked for me perfectly.

Note that during my sub install I found that most of the switched outlets don't actually turn off immediately. It takes several minutes.
Here is another close up picture I took when I installed my dash cam. Just to shows all the empty slot. I used F27 because I want to get constant power for Parking mode.

Which empty slot is switched?
Which mean it will cut power when the car is off?

Also, how diffcult it is to run the wire up behind the RR Mirror for dashcam?

I want to see if I can manage to do it myself, or have to bring it to the shop for someone to do it.,

All the info is in the thread if you look.
F27 for constant
F46/47 for switched

I have a REXING DASHCAM (V1 Gen 3)

Hey guys so I get that F27 is for "constant" power.

But That is a Wider fuse than the smaller one supplied for my Dashcam.

Is there a smaller fuse (mini) that ALSO has constant power?

EDIT: Going to use fuse #59. If anyone has a better idea do chime in

X3 2020 xdrive setting up Smart Hardwire for Dash cam

I am trying to install smart hardwire on my X3 2020. I am connecting the Rexing V1-4K dashcam. This camera has a parking monitor function. I need to find the following fuse :

1. Switched Fuse (Red Cable, Power Only when Car is on)
2. Hot Fuse (Yellow cable, Power has all-time 24/7)
3. ground cable (black cable, for the ground)

Please help me identify where should I connect on the fuse box for these options.

I don't have a fuse box diagram but what I saw online is this

Thank you for the detailed info, I just completed a fuse tap install of a V1 in my X3M using the box in the passenger footwell. F46 is a good fuse to piggyback off of however note that it provides power to my V1 once I open my doors and doesn't shut off until around 10min after turning off my car.

In regards to the ground, I used the bolt that holds the airbag module.

Panel to access fuses

I’ve managed to get the cable down to fuse panel (drivers side - UK car) but came to block by not knowing how to take the panel which houses the bonnet catch lever. Without removing this I think it impossible to get to the fuses. Any clues from UK drivers? Photo added.

Yes I did the same. But it’s accessing the fuses with ease and limiting the risk of dropping the fuses down the back of the panel. If no simple way of removing the panel I will just chance it

Hi, I have an AUS X3 G01 2020. I have spent 2 days trying to look for this so called imaginary fuse box within the "passenger frontwell" area

I was wondering if someone can help a noob like me find it

I'm not sure if I'm looking at the right place.

Thanks
