That’s what I said, too It’s a great car when stock. It’s an awesome ride when lowered and performance modded with BM3. It feels like some some sort of superhot hatch, an uber gti. Definitely very fun to drive. Accelerations are hilarious. That S58 engine is insane.

BMW SUVs tend to suffer some pretty wicked depreciation so you have to buy it right to mitigate the damage. If you're keeping it for the long term, M cars tend to trend back up in value after 5+ years.

That's good news, we have a MK7 GTI with APR stage 1 tune and it's a lot of fun. Dare I say more fun to drive than my M3 and M2C.

I'm really looking forward to the 2020 dropping into the mid 50's.. Maybe Q1/Q2 2021?

I think this is my next vehicle, I'm at a point in life where I want to go fast but I also want to go camping and mountain biking, etc.. The PS2 F30 only satisfies one of those adventures.

I'm scared to go look now, I'd probably take one home..

Yes, because the overall trend clearly goes towards ugly ass four door sedans... I heard the SUV market is in huge trouble.

. I really hope they come up with a nice post-LCI facelift for G80. There is just too much going on with that front.

If you're talking non comp i bet you could get one in the mid 50's by end of this year. Low mileage 80K+ MSRP comps are 65K used now.

The release of the G80 will do exactly nothing to the price of X3Ms unless current market conditions normalize.

That G80 is hideous from the front if those pictures are accurate. I will definitely be keeping my 2015 M4!

The G80 AWD is going to be an absolute monster. That grill though is going to take a while to get used to, if at all possible. I have a feeling they'll do an early refresh (ala Acura) if sales don't hit expectations.

Yes, it will be a monster in every possible sense of this word. But I also wonder what the curb weight of the G80 AWD will be. F80 is ~3650 lbs, but the G80 will be slightly larger, will add the heavy AWD, the additional bracing, and all the fancy but heavy upgraded cooling the F97 engine/transmission has. For reference, M340i is already listed at 3800 lbs. I expect the G80 AWD to be around 3950-4000 lbs, so 10% lighter and 0.2-0.3 seconds quicker than F97.

OP what did you pay for it?

Since new ones could recently be had for 15%-20% off with rebates, low miles used ones are in the low 60s range already. If 2021 inventory increases this might move up but very unlikely.

I was probably one of the very first to order one when they were announced. I got it for about $75K on an ~$84K MSRP.
