We still haven't had any stock X3M or X4M 1/4 mile times shared in the Qtr Mile thread, so if you get a chance to run stock before you tune, it would be helpful for the community's reference databank. No one really knows what the 30HP difference in base and competition models makes at the Strip (at least I haven't seen any formal slips in that regard).

You can try the 93 tune but make sure you only use best quality 93 gas (Shell or similar) and definitely get some logs to see if you get knocks. If you do, switch to 91 tune (this is what PTF will tell you).

Cool thank you. For what it's worth. I did some heavy testing on gas around my area a few years ago. Shell was consistently the worst and also way more expensive. I would get a lot of knock on both shell stations. Sonoco was consistently good, and surprisingly so was luke oil.

Bjs, wawa, giant, costco, etc source their fuel differently based on location. Luckily my two local bjs gas stations are really good. Which are the cheapest in my area.

In my case Chevron was the best. Never tried BJs though.

Definitely can help the community out. My X4 just went into production so I should have it by mid December. Nice and cool for some dragy runs

Thanks, F82Tazmanian . Dragy is interesting, but if at all feasible and you get the chance, would really like to see some formal slips from a sanctioned Strip (the standard for referencing performance comparisons). You'll be the first to share and will automatically get a spot on the overall F97/98 Leaderboard.

We don't have chevron in my area. Keep in mind bjs sources from most of the major vendors so you could have a crap bjs or maybe they source chevron. No real way to know without testing it.

Maybe 93 with a bottle of octanium unleaded, or you can flash the 91 tune.
No way I'm spending an extra $22 per fill up lol I would much rather travel to the nearest e85 station. And fill up like an 8 gallon container and store that.

I think I'm going to grab a tune from MP in late spring next year. Probably go with the 91oct 570whp tune. I have access to 93 nearly all the time but occasionally I go places where I can only get 91.

This might be a bit off-topic and probably has been asked before; will the horsepower increase be higher on a x3mc vs x3m?
So hypothetically both cars with the same tune, will the x3mc always make more horsepower?

^he would know better than me but I agree. Hardware is same and you're overwriting so target boost should be same. Comp is just 1.5 psi more than base.

The 91/93 tune is strong. Makes more power then other 93 tunes.

I went with Racechip. Racechip uses a separate module installed under the hood with quick release disconnect so you can remove the module when you go in for servicing. that way the dealer doesnt know you have a tune and everything is stock when you are there.
Also if they ever had to do a update flash on the car you wont lose your tune.
Racechip also has a smartphone app for choosing different settings on the tune.

Yes, it is.
The harness comes with bypass plug or dummy plug where it plugged in to the harness when the module is removed. So the car is back to stock when it is used.
The harness is OEM look, so it blends in well with the factory harness.

Sorry for the redundancy in my question, in case that something went wrong; how does Race chips warranty work? And what happens if the dealer realizes the car is modded?

The details is on RaceChip website.
I don't remember the whole details, it is a long page to read.

If dealer realizes that the car has been modded, there are many many different scenario.
All depending on the situation and dealer reps.
