But did you know the factory downpipes touch at the flange before the X pipes. So even if it did touch, it doesn't matter

Do down pipes change the exhaust sound drastically?
I could use a bit louder but not race car loud.

Oh, I had some down pipes on my 335 in 2008 that had amazing hand made welds. And yes, made in the USA, here in Denver in fact. So no, not comparing to robotic welds.
