Attachment 3392391 Is that an air suspension switch by the iDrive controller? Do some current X3s use air suspension? |

Hoping it’s the camouflage but overall first impression is it looks HUGE. Trying to make the massive touchscreen look proportional? 😜

I believe it's the volume control. Same one as the iX.

Certainly from the safety standpoint, taking your eyes off the road to tap on a screen is not ideal. I love my iPad, but don’t necessarily want to interact with my car on one. And, you should try spinning a vinyl every now and then, it’s fun.

The body is very harmonious in proportions muscular and sporty. BMW once again proves that it can make cars with a sporty spirit. History develops in a spiral and the knobs and buttons will return. Everything good has already been invented before.

We can live with the proportions on the X5, X1, X2 or current X3. I cannot understand how BMW designer allow such abomination when it's so easy to confirm whether the car looks handsome even before building a prototype. They are probably losing at least a few thousand in sales because some of the new cars don't look as nice as BMWs in the 90s - 2000s. |

Why do they camoflouge these anymore. All bmw interiors look the same. (Ugly).
Ive spent the past 12 years w the brand over 6 different models but the current (lack off) styling is a no for me.

us oldtimers/enthusiasts don’t matter anymore to BMW. China is their new eldorado and Chinese taste in cars is very different so it will only get worse unfortunately. |

That looks like a sloping wireless phone charger. I have that in my GLS and it's a PITA to remove the phone (especially when cups are in the cupholder)! Also, if you ever need to connect to a USB cable, you will want to buy one w/a 90° connector since it's quite tight in that space!

In 2 years, the European safety association EuroNCAP will begin to deduct points for insufficient use of physical switches and excessive use of touch screens and lack of switches to activate various safety systems. Let's hope that manufacturers respond correctly.
