2011 bmw x3 28i Starter replacement issue

Hello,

I'm working on removing and replacing my starter. I'm stuck on last remaining part before getting to the starter. There is a thin wire that goes in between the intake manifold. It connects to just type of hub. Does anyone have any tips on how to move forward? I have attached photos to reference. The thin line is highlighted and photo taken earlier in the process. As far as I know, I just need to somehow disconnect that wire and the fuel line and the manifold will be free. Please help

Welcome! You have an F25 X3 and have posted in the forum for the not-yet-released 2025- G45 X3. You might try posting in the correct forum to get some help.
