Custom Hood

Hey guys!

I'm very interested in working on a custom hood for our cars. I was thinking something subtle but functional as well.

Please let me know if this is something that other people would want to get in on. I've done this with the e90 series years back, so hoping if I can get enough people, we can get the ball rolling.

Also feel free to share other ideas!

I was thinking a simple slit in the middle of the hood like the f10s that LTMW created or some side vents like DD.

Quick update: LTMW will help work on this

I think we will try to replicate the m2 cs hood with the vent pointing back for some downstream functionality.

Anyone interested ping me! I think we can collaborate and design something cool and mass produce

I'm either sticking with aluminum/oem for cost reduction, but if I can get enough people interested then CF (exposed/painted) would be great alternative.

Thoughts/recommendations?

Id kinda like to see aluminum. But glad fiberglass isn't being considered.

haha yah I don't think we should sell ourselves short on any cheap aftermarket parts that go onto this car.

Not sure CF is worth it especially after painting.

I haven't had much luck with cf hoods. Either they don't fit right or the top starts to separate from the shell or there's issues with latching.

ahh that's a good point, I figured CF is the fancy route, not likely something I want to spend a fortune on either. But thanks for the insight!
