New coil Spring questions

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
1. I had previously asked about using the Springs from a X3 m40I. Someone said this could ruin the shocks in time. But why would those springs and not the MSS springs?

2. If those are incompatible could a springs manufacturer make a duplicate spring that. Is softer?

3. If the factory adjuster that changes from comfort to sport be somehow be modified to make it even more comfortable??

I had one of the earliest F80 M3 when it first came out. No lowering springs available. I, along with some other members, used the springs from the F30. Had no problems with them for over 30k miles ...
