You should've phoned the day before, then you would've had your December payment refunded.

I don't reach the free VT point until April so wouldn't have made any difference to how much I'd paid

Ah, fair enough. I know I was surprised to be refunded as I was able to use the car for free for 2 weeks until BCA inspected/collected.

Enjoy the car when you get it, personally not a fan of the colour combination but if we all liked the same life would be boring.

BTW it’s got the wrong engine installed

Definitely the right engine for a torque junky like me!

Yes that was what I had heard. Would be very interested in how you get on.Would you mind providing an update?.
@D69GMB I got the text message from BCA today to book collection, online system didn't recognise my details so I rang them (*0121 788 6964‬ is direct dial number for the correct department), booked collection for 7th Jan, they said it's fine for me to leave it at the dealership on the 5th when I collect the X3! No mention about a separate inspection!

I haven’t heard back from Tony yet but I can’t imagine it being a problem.

The bloody Website is still showing the 40i as 360ps and still no 40d on the configurator.
How can they take so long to update it when the can get the G20 on the configurator straight away.
We already know the boot cover has been reduced in quality ....... what else?
M40d is now finally on the configurator!

I can't VT until the start of March, but with the longer build time's of M40's, plus individual leather and xmas coming up we're ordering it now and Tony will store it for me if it arrives early.

Tony as usual was extremely helpful and accommodating, I cannot thank him enough.

I can't bloody wait!

Here's the spec:

X3 M40d

Phytonic Blue
Tartufo Individual Leather
Aluminium Rhombicle Interior Trim

Comfort Package (folding mirrors, acoustic glazing, rear seat backrest adjustment, extended storage, comfort access)
M Sport Plus Package (HK, Sun Pro Glass, Adaptive Suspension & 20" 699m wheels with high performance tyres)

Driving Assistant Plus (plus Galvanic Embellisher)
Parking Assistant Plus
Head Up Display
Steering Wheel Heating
Sunblinds Rear Side Windows
Lumbar Support
Trim Designation Deletion (side)

MSRP £60,365

See the babybmw forum for his current M40d/i deals:

If you want a quote for any BMW speak to Tony Lewis (TRL) at Berry BMW Heathrow, but please bear in mind that due to working alone on quotes it's best contact him once you are down to a final spec as he does not work in the showroom as such, and generating quotes is quite labour intensive, especially with the amount of optional extras most of us add!

Contact him directly on this email address:

TRLdeals@outlook.com

EDIT:

Car is now at Tony's storage unit

Looks great!

I assume only individual options are available for European countries. The U.S X4s can get this but they look ugly. 😢

Hmm, I would think a dealer could do it if it's available in the X4, pretty much the same interior as X3.

Why do you say that? I'm asking for a specific reason . . .

I've wanted the Tartufo Individual interior since I first saw it on a 7. I think it looks incredibly rich on that car. So when I started thinking about an X4 (specifically because we can get an X4 in the States with Individual interiors), I was psyched that I could get my favorite interior and that it matched so well with my favorite X4 exterior - Phytonic. But for some reason, Tartufo doesn't seem quite right, and no where near as rich looking, in the X4. And I can't put my finger on why. Maybe it's because we can't get the nice leather dash and door toppers here??

I'm now thing about Sapphire Black over Fiona Red. Again, I'm not sure why, but the red seems to work better in the X4. I am a bit disappointed though since I've wanted Tartufo for so long.
