Anyone who drives in the city or bumpy roads do not waste your time with H&R

I had them in my X4 M40i for a year and it was the worse decision ever (City, Potholes, Bumps and steep driveways)

Really that bad? I was considering it for mine.

I drove with H&R springs on 19's and 20's for a full year, thats just my opinion since I live in Tristate area.

For those that live in suburbs and don't have city with major potholes like NYC should be ok except those steep driveways.

Why? Kideys? Rim issues? Bottoming out? Don't just say not to get them - help us out by explaining what the problems were.

Rim issues if you're on 20s or bigger yes
Bottoming out yes after 10k miles you will start

All depends if you drive through ANY potholes or city / bumps often etc.

My current M3 Competition Pkg is on KW HAS (Height Adjustable Springs) or known as Sleeves much better than H&R hands down. No bottoming out No Rim issues and I can lower as much or as little as I want.

My next car will not touch suspension as I believe BMW knows whats best.

I know this is an old thread but I am about to buy an m40i and love your wheels. When I went to search the TSW website it says they aren't a fit, can you provide some guidance?

What else has been done to this ride since 2019? Did you have to get the springs powder coated or did they come blue already?

Huh? These wheels are listed pretty much everywhere with options for the M40i.

Im not sure what your checking but TSW also clearly has the X3 bolt patterns listed on their site.
