MOE tyres fitted to X3

Has anybody had any experience of having tyres recommended for Mercedes fitted to their X3? Renewed tyres today Pirelli P Zero runflats for 20 inch wheels. I was expecting to see the BMW star on sidewall but it says MOE! Tyre fitter says it is OK as tyres are interchangeable between brands. Is this true?

I believe that MOE tires have slightly lower runflat tolerances. Their max speed and distance restrictions are stricter than the BMW RF equivalents if I recall correctly.

You likely won't notice much difference . I would ensure the same spec all around though.

As compared to RSC, MOE is rated for less range and a lower max speed when punctured. It should still be enough to get you off a highway and in to a tire repair shop, which is all it needs to do.

I have the staggered M Sport setup in my X3, and the front tires are RSC, while the rear ones are MOE. Most likely there just weren't RSC tires available for the rear tire size. Drives just fine although I think the next set of tires I get will be non-run flat.

I am using Michelin Primacy MOEs They are fine and they can be patched unlike most runflats.
