Finally, a new X3

Just picked up my M40i this week replacing my 13' X3. Fantastic car, dark graphite with oyster. Big thanks to Dutch1576, BMWgrande, and Yobyot for help on beating up the dealers.

Things I love:
first 6 cylinder car!
Sport steering wheel
Apple car play
Stock wheels and sound system
Exhaust- doesn't sound as crappy as all the videos I watched

Things I miss or wish:
front cameras
bigger side mirrors..are these for a Pinto?

The car is just awesome. Like Yobyot told me, wheels get dusty quick, you go through gas quicker, but you have more fun doing it.

I will be taking it in for the medium, ceramic pro coating and PPF protection soon. Damn, BMW makes great cars.

Congratulations, BigJake - a great SAV for sure. I notice your canine family member checking out your wheels (right on cue)! You'll have to share a photo with the G01 and Dog photos thread - https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1483510

Congrats! Car looks great, even your dog was eager to check it out and probably wanted a ride too

I lived in CT before, and I hated paying more for premium gas vs. neighboring states (hard to understand why gas in CT was even higher than that in Mass). But the cost is minimal vs the fun you'll get for the fantastic B58 Engine. Enjoy the ride

Thankfully, I'm very close to the MA/RI border and buy gas there. I think CT has an additional 10-15 cent tax per gallon over the regular price. I don't know why I still live here

Congrats on the new X3. Dark Graphite looks awesome. Like to see an interior shot when you have time with Oyster.

BigJake, congrats! Wonderful color choice as well! Glad you went with it and hoping you love the vehicle. If you are planning to do Ceramic Coating hit me up. There is a very good place near me that I am planning to have do mine once the weather cooperates. Enjoy!

Congrats! Really like that color combo And yes, I am simply amazed at how dirty these stock 19 inch wheels get. We have owned numerous vehicles over the years and I have never had anything this bad, including my 2018 340 with 19's.

Washed it for the first time today. Holy crap were those wheels dirty.

I love the way they look, but all those ridges and stuff...boo.
