Does anyone know how to activate rear fog lights in X3 2022 LCI. I have switch with rear fog light button.
I found that the following coding needs to be applied: NSL_Verbaut: Change this to "Verbaut" - done LCE_BEL_LIN_VAR: Change to match your existing switch, plus "NSL". I changed to "30_BEL_PL_FLC_NSL" - done LIC_LOG_LAMP_2_OUTPUT_CHANNEL_DATA: Change this to "UNK_PARAM_2" - I don't have that code in BCM module. I only have LIC_LOG_LAMP_2_PHYS_LAMP_DATA here it was G01_US_code1 so I've changed to G01_ECE_code1 - question if that one is correct ? LIC_LOG_LAMP_2_OUTPUT_CHANNEL_INDEX: Change this to "UNK_PARAM_2" - I don't have that code in BCM module. I only have LIC_LOG_LAMP_2_PHYS_LAMP_INDEX here it was G01_US_code1 so I've changed to G01_ECE_code1 - question if that one is correct ? LIC_NIVEAU_OVERRIDE_DATA_0: Change this to "G01_ECE_code2" - done LIC_NIVEAU_OVERRIDE_INDEX: Change this to "G01_ECE_code2" - done LIC_VERSION_DATA: Change this to "UNK_PARAM_11" - here it was G01_US_code1 so I've changed to G01_ECE_code1 Result: I have orange icon on dashboard when I click rear fog button but lights are not working in rear lamps. Any suggestion ? |

Yeah, today I checked that. I don't have pin1 wire on inner lights, that is for fog light. I did small test to and I connected + wire from accu to that pin and led lights are there. So what I need to do now that I have to add one wire from those two inner lights to BCM module. I found one guide for G30 and guys is saying that we need to connect into A258*5B pin 20. Do you maybe know whether for G01 it is the same place?

I have the same problem with my X3 2019. I never succeeded in orange icon for rear fog light, however with some trial and error I managed to have stop and turn lights working (almost) fine. Turn lights are working on rear hatch only in my case. Did you get any further? Could somebody share his/her CAFD files for comparison, from EU X3 G01 or even better X3 G01 US converted to EU? The CAFD files I am looking for are: _00005FA9 _000017BD _00001DF7 _00001DF8 |

For people who wants to do conversion from USA to EU for X3 LCI.
1. Turning off us sidemarkes (those orange small lights in front lights). To do that you need to change region from USA to ECE in FA file: Field: Typschlüssel After that you need to just recode following CAFDs to make changes in front lights FLM2 (43) - CAFD_00006DF0_026_155_001 FLM2 (44) - CAFD_00006DF0_026_155_001 Result: US sidemarkers are not working, you also will not have any errors in DTCs 2. Rear Fog light. For that one you need to do following: a) change lighting panel to new one which has rear fog light button. Alternatively you can adjust US one, by removing small plastic blockers - there is a lot of about that in that forum. b) you need to check wiring in inner rear lamps. You need to have wires in 1st right pin in both connectors. Total there are 5 wires in each inner lamp: -GND -blinker light -reverse light -normal daily light -fog light if you have that wires you can go to next step. If not you need to do following. From BDC module (which is located in passanger legs) you need to locate connector A258*5B. In that connector you need to add new wire in pin nr: 20. Wire needs to go from passanger legs throught right side of the car till rear tailgate. Than you need to split that wire into 2 wires and plug them into both rear inner lights (1st pin from right). My X3 is from US market and I didn't have wires, but lights have LED diods for fog lights, so I didn't need change them. c) when you have wires and new switch light you need to do following coding in BDC_BODY3 module: CAFD_00007083_025_068_018 NSL_Verbaut: Change this to Verbaut LCE_BEL_LIN_VAR: Change to match your existing switch, plus "NSL". I changed from "26_BEL_PL_FLC" to 30_BEL_PL_FLC_NSL CAFD_00005665_013_068_004 LIC_LOG_LAMP_2_PHYS_LAMP_DATA: change to G01_ECE_code1 LIC_LOG_LAMP_2_PHYS_LAMP_INDEX: change to G01_ECE_code1 LIC_NIVEAU_OVERRIDE_DATA_0: Change this to G01_ECE_code2 LIC_NIVEAU_OVERRIDE_INDEX: Change this to G01_ECE_code2 LIC_VERSION_DATA: change to G01_ECE_code1 Results: when you press rear fog button, you should see orange icon on cluster and of course both lights are on in rear lamps. 3. Splliting signal for rear breaking lights and blinkers. In USA market those two lights are working in same time togher. In europe we have different law. They should work separetaly. To do that you need to do following. a) you need to have EU outer rear lights wher signal is already separated. Eventually there is possiblity to rework US lights to EU lights by some companies. b) for outer rear lights you need to have 4 wires in each connector. -GND -breaking light -blinker -daily lights In US config there are only 3: -GND -breaking light + blinker (same wire) -daily lights If you have 4 wires you can go to next step, if not you need to do following. From inner rear lights locate blinker wire (for me it was 2nd left in both lamps). Then you need to connect new wire to that inner lights blinker wires and just move them into outer lights and connect them in proper pin. You need to do that for both sides. After that you will have electric voltage in both lamps when you ON blinkers. c) when you have wires you need to do following coding in BDC_BODY3 module: CAFD_00005665_013_068_004 LIC_LOG_LAMP_2_PHYS_LAMP_DATA: change to G01_ECE_code1 LIC_LOG_LAMP_2_PHYS_LAMP_INDEX: change to G01_ECE_code1 Result: breaking and blinkers now are independent and compliant with EU law. I hope it will help some other people who wants to do that conversion. |

Is there a way to code out the auto dimming in sider mirrors and rear view mirror?
I recently got 35% tints on my front and that plus the auto dimming makes it a bit too dark at night.

Can sth be done to constantly show the gear? It only shows for a second when using flaps, but skips back to D. Regardless of driving mode. And is there really no way to show speed somewhere in the middle of display? 2019 x3m40i (idrive 7)

Just curious, where are these LED’s ? Assume it’s not what we use as rear fog lights in the UK ? Last edited by avi66; 12-28-2023 at 07:18 AM.. |

Are they even functional? Are there even any electrical connection/function for installing a light/LED? Or are they just plain reflectors?
