windshield streaks with new wipers

I bought a new set of wiper blades but my windshield is still streaking. I previously applied Rain X on the windshield and I think the coating is wearing off so I bought their X-treme clean to get Rain X off but it's still streaking. So I decided to polish the windshield using DA polisher and Maguire compound, it worked for a couple of days but streaks came right back a few days later. Any suggestions on removing windshield streaks?

Thanks

I've had success with this. Make sure you get this formula and not the one they sell at supermarkets.

Not sure if this is relevant.

Bon Ami 1886 Original Formula Cleaning Powder (red can) IS recommended for windows, mirrors, glass-ceramic cooktops, vintage auto windshields (not modern windshields which often have coatings), shower and oven doors, other non-decorative glass surfaces, and many other hard surfaces.

Wait, does windshield have coatings? The problem I'm experiencing right now is when windshield is wet it shows wiper marks. Does that mean I have to use a bit more aggressive compound?

How about a clay bar to remove contaminants - that should in my experience be all thats needed. don't apply any Rain-X and see how it goes.

I've never heard about coatings either. Clay bar and brake cleaner also works very well.

The streaks appear few months after I applied Rain x, I never had any streaking issue before. I will try clay bar first and see how it goes.

get a glass cleaner and use microfiber towel to clean windshield.
also, wipe down the wipers as well.
