BMW x3 F25 2016 emergency spare wheel??

I need some advice.
Anyone know if it is possible to fit an emergency spare wheel + tyre in my BMW x3 F25 2016?
My car has the can of slime and a little air pump. No RFT.

I have had a good look in the boot area but it looks like the battery would have to be moved. Anyone done this? Or is their another solution?

I dont want to change to runflat tyres.

thanks

Perhaps the best you may be able to do is purchase the smaller spare alloy wheel/tire from BMW and store in cargo area behind rear seat - I do not believe you can easily modify that rear storage area to accommodate any kind of spare wheel 'below deck'.

Perhaps adding a tire plug kit, 12V air compressor, scissor jack, lug nut wrench would be worthwhile (?).

I would also suggest to have these items in the boot as well.
I have run flats on mine that are due to be replaced. Thinking of replacing them with non run flats and having the tire plug kit, compressor, jack, and wrench in the trunk myself.
Some people have just put a spare right in the trunk and secured it with tie wraps or net.
I don't think there's enough space back there to fit a spare without sacrificing cargo area.
Even the OEM spare option raises the cargo floor.

What's the cost for the wheel?
Thanks/Bill

I have all the kit- slime/pump/jack/wrench/ plug repair kit/ torch/ would much prefer a spare even an emergency slimline version. DOes not look possible.
I did see someone who had modified their car to accept a spare wheel+tyre but looks very unlikely in this BMW.

Where do you store it? Some have claimed if you rip out the compartment under the cargo floor there is enough room for this spare, but never seen it done.

There have been a few members that have added a spare without raising the rear cargo area height to new X3s. Need to be creative.

BMW X3 are very sensitive to the wheel diameter difference due to its 4 wheel drive design. Smaller spare tire may even damage differential and transfer case.

I found on-line a used wheel rim that matches my car rim style. It was around $100. Most important, it still had stock tire pressure monitor. I want to make sure that even with spare tire TPMS is active. BMW is very good about initializing TPMS with the new tire - you just reset in through the car menu, and then it registers the new sensor in couple of minutes of driving.

I got the same tire for the spare to make sure there is no tire size difference. Spare tire does eat into the trunk area, but it worth it to have it for long travels.

my F25 comes with 18in wheels, I am using 245/50/18 this is 702.2 OD, the OEM emergency wheel is 135/80/18 and it is intended to be use in workshop only, in order to have a spare tire matching with the OD i found this 145/85/R18, this is 703.7mm which makes 0.2% difference.
