They do pop up although I was lucky and managed to get a brand new one for a decent price on eBay (here in the UK)

Quick question - whereabouts on your car do the heated seat modules live? Appreciate it’s probably LHD but I also have a
2011 F25 with some heated seat issues at the moment that I need to investigate. Lots of LIN fault codes.

Under both seats. Driver side is larger and integrated with the rest of the car and the passenger one can be found in my original image and actually specifically for heating function only.

Thank you for that, I’ll see if I can get to the bottom of the fault with our car.

I'm having a problem with the passenger and rear seats heat not working while the driver seat works fine. Fault codes are for missing l i n component. Any suggestions?

Excelent!

I wonder, how did you separated the front piece of the seat?
Didi you cut the leather and just full it forward?

Easiest way is to unclip the main seat portion and then stretch the front rubber portion over the extended leg portion.

I'll attach a photo for the tab that you have to release.

Third photo attachment.

Typically easier to get to the tabs when the main seat portion is lifted off.

Sort of a pain to do.
My brother attempted removal and end up braking the tab, thankfully it was on the donor seat.
