anyone put black badges on their black sapphire metallic m40 X3/X4?

Please post a pic if you put on black badges on your black sapphire m40s! Debating on switching to those instead of the chrome

Was thinking of same except I have Brooklyn grey, seems a no brainer but in black you might not see the badges?

You should definitely do it for the Brooklyn grey!!! I’ve seen others with it and it looks great. I kind of want that fully blacked out look. Just wanted to see some other people’s before I decided to go through with it

Black badges only look good on light colored cars because there is contrast. My previous Black Sapphire Metallic M4 with OEM black badges. Not a X3 but you get the idea.

I have the 50 years of M-cars badge with its candy colored swirl, but think the black carbon fiber BMW badge would look better. Already did the silver X3/M40i delete, replaced with black...that should have been part of the Shadow-Line Package!

Was just searching for them:

You need (2) 82mm badges, hood and boot are the same size or 3.25 inches.

The 50 years of M badge is so good. I’m glad I opted for it. That’s what I’m debating on. Putting black X4/m40i badges on my black sapphire metallic car

I debadged the rear and put these on the front and rear (both 82mm) of my BG X4, replacing the 50th Anniversary roundels

I’m a bit of a minimalist

Not an m40 but here's what I found on my phone for a before and after of Spoiler + blacked out badge on black sapphire (Not the best shot but if you want a clear pic I can take a new one)

If you want the badges to be readable on the road, then obviously black badging looks great on lighter colors (both of our P-cars, Chalk and Racing Yellow, have black badging), and, obviously, gets washed out and unreadable on darker colors, especially black. I wanted readability; I was going to do black badging on my initial order specifying Brooklyn Gray, but when I switched to Aventurin Red I went back to chrome badging. All that having been said, if you just want "that blacked-out look" and don't care about readability then by all means do black on black!!

Think the black on black pops a bit more if you have the m40i with m flag in color. I'm going to debadge for the extra clean look, just haven't got around to it.

This just sealed it up for me, lol thanks ContactPatch ordering the black badges now it never ends . I agree black badges on light colors, along with carbon fiber console, should have both been part of cf and shadow line packages lol
