Every time I start my car I go through the same process of turning off intelligent safety completely and turning off DSC. Lately after a hard pull I’ve noticed that intelligent safety is turning back on by itself. Has anyone ever experienced this before? When I try to replicate it I can’t watch it turn on but I’ll look down sometimes and it’s just randomly back on.

My 2019 X4 M40i always reverted to turning ESC and safety features on at start after being turned off. It always reverts the auto start stop to on as well, but i just put in sport when I start the car to turn it off.

Let me be more specific. It does this in the middle of driving. Not when I turn the car off. It will just randomly turn back on while I’m driving.

Anyone?? No way this is isolated after you floor it….

You can try resetting the system by disconnecting the car battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting it. This may help to reset any malfunctioning components and restore the system to its normal functioning.

I’ve tried everything. It will even pull itself out of Eco mode. I will be driving down the interstate and all the sudden it will revert back to comfort mode and all intelligent safety on. It’s so odd.

Did you connected car to ISTA and check errors. For sure there you will find some info. There are errors about dirty windscreen, probably there should be also about reseting settings.

I don’t have access to ISTA. I asked BMW to look into it and of course they said they didn’t find anything. But I don’t believe them. Still does it consistently every time I drive. In the middle of driving in Anything outside of comfort With intelligence safety off it will suddenly reset to comfort mode with all intelligent safety on.
