Cleaning the Trunk ?
Hey guys!
Aside from using a vacuum to get those particles out. What and how do you make the trunk carpet looking and smelling new? Thanks!

For me just dusting it a week is enough as I carry items always in bags or cardboard boxes. My car is 13 months old but still abs neat and clean. I am if you need deep cleaning, you should take the liner out and clean it.

Vacuum cleaning and use of a good interior shampoo to remove any stains and keep that fresh smell. But I also use the BMW trunk mat and I really recommend it, easy to clean.

Uhm, what kind of shampoo do you recommend? How do you apply it? I went to the beach yesterday and suddenly the weather got unlucky so i rained , thus my sportbrella got soaking wet, i had no choice but to store it in the at the back wet =,=. Now my trunk kinda smells funny. Thanks!

I mostly use Autoglym (produced in the UK). Their Interior Shampoo is simply sprayed on, left to soak in and loosen up the dirt for a couple of minutes and then swept off with a clean, damp cotton cloth. It's very effective and leaves a fresh smell.
I have also tried a so called Odour Remover spray but it smelled far too strong for too long. So I dropped that and have stuck to something that leaves a hint of soap and cleanliness and a shampoo is perfect for that IMO. |
