2014 xdrive35i OEM Trailer wiring harness?
I am interested in installing a hitch and wiring harness on my 2014 X3 35i. Does anyone know if there is a harness from BMW and instructions online for the harness installation? Btw, I have the M sport package and backup camera.
Thanks, Greg |

trailer hitch
I purchased a trailer hitch and light kit from etrailer:
https://www.etrailer.com/hitch-2014_BMW_X3.htm The hitch install is a bit laborious and takes a few hours. The light kit is straightforward compared to the hitch install. Overall, I was very pleased with the result of both. |

I believe the OEM harness requires coding for it to work completely properly. IIRC, the hitch, bundled with the harness costs barely more than if you were to buy the harness separately. In the end, I went with a TorkLift EcoHitch and an aftermarket $30 harness. Both work great.

I have this hitch: https://torkliftcentral.com/trailer-...s/ecohitch/bmw
And this light adapter: http://www.tekonsha.com/products/ele...C6GB1%7C7SN4c= The official BMW hitch and harness are trash, don't bother. |
