1/400 M850xi @ BMW of Silver Spring, MD

Had the M3 in for service today and noticed this gem on the floor. Should have gotten a picture of the sticker but You know what they say about hindsight! This particular M850xi is the first edition package model number 1 of 400. Sticker price was $137k.

I believe that "1/400" just means "one of 400" because the same First Edition model in the San Francisco dealership has the same moniker. I too wondered if it was really unique and #1...

I've seen an RHD one here in NZ and it shows the same, 1/400

Fooled me! I'm sure some rich guy is going to see that and eat it right up. Seems like false advertising to me though.

Yes, that means one of 400. I have First Edition one (in EU little bit more expensive than this one).

I would get one if the residual figures weren't so lousy....

November 2019 Lease Program:

BMW M8 Coupe and Convertible (2020MY)
15k miles / 52% residual
12k miles / 54% residual
10k miles / 55% residual

Maybe it sold, almost $30K off on a 2020 M850i is a steal for someone looking for a new car.

the residual on everything is about the same. Name one car that's in the same class and category with better residuals??

What do you call "everything"?

I am not comparing or looking at MB and Porsche (which rarely "leases well").

I was referring to other BMW models at the same price point for someone free to choose between the 7, 8 and F90 for the same payment give or take.

Residual on other BMW models, including the F90, is high 50s-low60s.
Huge difference in monthly for those interested in leasing.

Thanks for the info and keep the reconnaissance coming as it will help me argue against the initial 4% discount on the 2020 M850i initially agreed to when I placed my order. I unfortunately have signed documentation but worse case is I eat the $2500 non-refundable deposit and start over as extending to at least 8% makes up for the loss but I'm going for 10% at a minimum.
