Hello,

I am trying to remove the head unit in order to install the wifi antena needed for apple carplay.
Can anyone share some tips on how to do this easier?
I am stuck on removing the radio/ac part.
There seem to be 4 special clamps underneath it as seen here: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/g...nit/1VnbgcYJTA

However, I don't understand exactly what I am supposed to do with them?
I am using a plastic wedge thing to reach under it but I am at a loss as to what I have to do.

same clamps used on almost all the trim.
I had to take off my center console trim. I used plastic putty knives. Once you get one to "pop" the others release easier - or at least your able to get your hand under for leverage.
Not fun- feels like its going to break

For everyone else that has the same issue, I found a nice video for the G30 - which is basically identical except for the top part, but that one's easy to remove.

Basically just check the link posted above and then watch the video since for the X3 you don't have to start to the right of the car at the airbag, so skip the first 40 seconds.

Hi I was wonder if any of the guided for getting to a G01 head unit are still up because the linked site is down. Also i purchased the update to run apple carplay 2 years ago but my car doesnt like the usb coding option. Does anyone know the program that I can use to link my BMW to my computer to install it
