Hi all,

Unfortunately my M40i does not have the storage package and the seat backs lacks the cargo netting which we use all the time. I see there's a seat back I can order from BMW that has this cargo netting. How hard is it for me to take the original seat back off and replace it myself? I haven't found any DIY videos so I don't know where all the clips or screws are.

I've removed seatback on my very old E39 sedan; it was bit tricky. Your car has hidden fasteners as did my old sedan but maybe it's easier to remove than the design of my older car.

Thanks Wgosma! That's really really helpful. I hope they haven't changed it too much in my car. I'm also hoping that when I get my seat backs, I can see where all the clips are.

Why just not buy a storage net from eBay/ali and mount it with double sided tape?
