Disable auto start stop or enable the memory function

Have a 23 X3 and unable to get this to work. I have a 21 530 running idrive 7 and that works just fine. Am user bimmercode. I know folks have had difficulties but I want a definitive answer if it can be coded or not?

Thats not the module under which that is on g01. Its the EDC module

https://www.bimmercode.app/cars/g01/

This is not my first rodeo so am simply asking if someone has successfully done it on a 2022 or 2023 X3 and if they can send me step by step method.

This is it in my car (2022 M40i). I only set the “function” to not active. No reason that I know of to set the “memory” setting to Active since the former disables it entirely. It will always be inactive.

I kinda like having the option for it in an extended highway jam, so I don’t disable it permanently. Remembering last option is great for that!

Thank you i have tried that and trying to yet again. Whats your normal steps? Put the car in diagnostics mode, start bimmercode, go to the EDC module, code the setting, done, disconnect from bimmercode?

For a pre-LCI car that makes sense. But in the LCI, there is no button to turn it back on. If you disable it through the app, it is permanently disabled, unless you code it back on again. I actually wish I could turn it back on in Eco-Pro mode. But there is no such option for my car.

Yep. I don’t put it into diagnostic mode, though. The app does that automatically for me. Might be an iDrive 7 or LCI thing. But the other steps are the same.

As already stated, many ways to do this, eg. if you are already MHD user, then MHD recently added this coding capability as a Disable MSA feature (nit is that ASS LED doesn't come on in pre-LCI showing that it's disabled). Nonetheless good inclusion, since who wants to have this enabled anyway, as mentioned elsewhere, especially if the car is a keeper, and not a throwaway (aka. lease).

What “difficulties” are you referring to?

What does “unable to get this to work” mean, in more detail?

This is one of the “easy” coding options, on both LCI and pre-LCI, so it would help if you can provide more info about the specific problem you are running into.

Unless the OP is asking 'how to code', I don't get the 'difficulties' part either.

This is the response from bimmercode

Hi,
does not work for cars running latest BMW software unfortunately. We are looking into this, but it may be possible that BMW completely disabled this function.

What version is your software?

I just upgraded to 11/2022 with no issues but I thought someone posted here on the forum that their new car had 3/2023

I could be mistaken of course
