Barrancos - Just had another email from Connected Drive. They have managed to solve the problem and I now have the USB download option. 2019-2 is at present downloading.

Good news! I have the exact same problem on my G05. I contacted support about 3 weeks ago. I have chased twice but it is still with the tech team. Fingers crossed it gets resolved soon.

I've just checked mine. I don't have the option to get map updates on the connected store. It's not available with a no entry sign:

So I've emailed BMW Connected and made an appointment with a BMW Genius on Thursday. So I'll update all (excuse the pun) when they tell me what's going on.

This is my current version.

Cheers Teaston Hrs are up until 10pm. I'll be in touch with them tomorrow.
They sorted out the problem with my remote 3D view, so hopefully they can help you.

For what I have experienced technical service in the UK is competent, so do not worry, they will fix it. It will take them 2-4 weeks though.

I've had contact from the Genius today and he's told me where to look for it and if it's not there (which it's not) then he said I need to contact Connected Drive, which I'll do tomorrow (offices shut at 19:00). So contacted BMW connected drive and they admitted that they have been having problems with their portal. I can't see Map Update, so it looks like the garage will be doing it for free on this occasion and then hopefully I'll be able to update myself going forward.

Downloaded and updated. The hardest part was formatting my 128 Gb USB stick to Fat32. I assume that Fat32 is still the required format.
