Hi all,

I Ordered mine late January and by looking up the vin I can see that it was produced June 11.

Reading this post my car should be on the Grand Orion, I hope because I've been following it last couple of days almost day and night 😂

When was your car built out of curiosity? mine was 13/5/22 I'm hoping my car was on the capricious leader, if not it will be the phoenix leader which arrives at Southampton on the 22nd July.

Ask the Genius team. My car was on Capricornus Leader as well and it's now "Awaiting Customs Clearance".

yeah give Genius your vin number and they can check for you. That's what I've been using.

Can't get my head around some of us having different status codes when the car leaves China. I am trying to convince myself that mine is on this ship, however I have a niggling doubt.

Status still 165 and has been for 2 weeks now after car was built 30th May.

Expected delivery date w/c 1st September as of today.

Anyone else got similar timescales?

Just spoke with Genius and they’re saying 195 and on a boat still.

Delivery to dealer still expected to be w/c 25/7

Unsure which boat it is likely to be on.

My current X3 was collected by Alphabet today, so am now getting really impatient (like a spoilt child)

I think I may have figured out your issue. I've got the same delivery date as you and sure enough the Genius team on the BMW website are saying my car is still at sea (195). However, I asked BMW UK via Twitter earlier and they said my car is in the country and is awaiting customs clearance so it might be worth you checking via Twitter, I get the impression they have access to better data.

The next vessel in to Southampton is the phoenix leader on the 22nd July, so its likely on that. My delivery was also 25/7 but now changed to 1/8.

This sounds positive, i will give it i try. fingers crossed i get the same news.

My car was built on the 11th May. And stayed at 165 for 3 or 4 weeks. It appears to be on the Phoenix Leader. Hope this helps any one trying to figure out what boat theirs may be on.

Hi all, I have been told that the car will arrive Southampton by boat on 18th July but no further information to that (as it is a company car through an intermediary who work with BMW Corporate - Stephen James). I am going to assume it is on the Phoenix Leader expected 20th July, but unfortunately I have not been given any further information to find an update for myself. Any insight would be valuable.

I originally got told it would arrive 30th June if that helps! It was not a factory order, it was pre-built M sport Pro with Laser lights

My process is similar to yours, it's a car ordered through work via an intermediary who work with BMW Corporate.

The Capricornus Leader unloaded at Southampton over the weekend and the next one due is the Phoenix Leader (as you say), which is due in on 22nd July, as per the NYK schedule (https://www.nykroro.com/documents/RTW-AFCON/RTWwk27.pdf).

Perhaps get in touch with Stephen James' Corporate department and find out the VIN for your car, which you can then use to check status updates with the Genius team via the BMW website or on Twitter. They'll be able to tell you the dates that the status changes occurred to you should be able to tell from that when the car was loaded onto the ship, which hopefully will coincides with when the Phoenix Leader visited Dalian.

If your car is on the Phoenix Leader, you'll see some status updates after 23rd July. I find the system the Twitter team use updates faster than the one used by the Genius team on the BMW website. Either way, you'll get there soon enough!
