Key fob weakness for thieves to copy
Was wondering if our key fobs are susceptible to being copied?

The BMW key has gone to sleep after 2 mins of no movement since June 2018. I don't think a technology change elsewhere will make any difference to that, but there are other things. Range Rover use a wideband transmission method which is currently impossible (or at least difficult) to scan. BMW haven't caught up with this yet.
