This looks like the x5. I doubts that's the X3 LCI.

I think you are right. Taking a closer look at the details like the taillight shows it must be a X5 .

Yep it looks like its also receiving G20-styled HVAC controls and vents interestingly. They must have reworked the center stack.

If you look closely at the gauge cluster you can sort of make out the updated front end. Bumper looks more aggressive and M-like.

Good eye. Although I do wonder if its an LCI, or just another vehicle image they have. Sometimes on the prototypes/pre-production models they use other cars in the gauge cluster. For example, when the X5 launched, in the press videos there was a 7-series on the gauge cluster.

I thought that as well, especially since it's a bit blurry. But its definitely an X4 of some kind, and the outer openings/brake duct on the bumper appear far larger than any of the current variant, even the X4m, also the grilles look larger.

But it also could be an illusion as I have to really zoom in. I'm hopeful for a slightly nicer interior and a more aggressive bumper for the M-sport models

It is strange. The exterior with the slight camo indicates it is an LCI. However, I have not seen BMW make such a drastic interior change (not just the guage) on an LCI. The 5 and 7 series LCI did not have the interior update as well, so I do not see why they would do it on the x3/x4.

X3 is the best selling BMW, they probably want to keep it fresh and competitive. That's the only reason I can think of.

Definitely interesting they would update the interior like this, Though looking deeper it's only half changing to the g2 look. And it's probably more likely a shrunken down x5 style. I wasn't a fan of the new stick and button layout when I tried it , so happy with my 2021. That and those 12 inch screens they put in the 5 series are too
Big !

I have noticed door handles (inside) on X3 are new type but looking on X4 they are the old type.

I've been waiting for this post!

Makes me happy I decided to not get a 2021 and wait for the 2022 LCI. I had a feeling it was going to be more major than people were saying since it's a very competitive class with a new GLC just a year out.

2021's aren't bad, but I had a 2019 X3 before so I wanted something more, this is it!

looks like it will be the full ID7 as I see the eye tracking module at the top of the gauge cluster.

What's clear from all these pictures is, that the LCI will now get new SP18 hardware with full iDrive 7 with full assistance support like the X5:

- new KAFAS module with more cameras in the windscreen
- Driver awarenes camera on the instrument cluster
- Assist LED indicators on the steering wheel

Hard to tell if the center screen is the 12.3" version like on the X5

So also RSU and climate control by voice will be there with the LCI. Also true keyless entry with NFC smartphone key should be supported as well.

Pricelists and featurelist will show as soon as they will be available.

How do you suppose assist LED indicators on the steering wheel?

Let's not forget, that hardware being there doesn't necessarily mean, the software will be taking advantage of it in full.
