there may be a red button that changes the angle of the rearview mirror if you rotate it, so you don't get other drivers headlights in your face at night (if you don't have the auto-dimming rearview mirror)

Can it be alarm? Its a big red round thing right? If its an alarm, is this standard on the 35i? Last month some jerk stole/ripped off the rear view camera from my car, damn Infiniti didnt even make an alarming sound
Question: If sumone try to steal the rear view camera from the new X3, will the alarm sound? |

The alarm is not wired to detect the theft of your rear view camera, but if the vehicle is moved or tilted, a door is opened or something moves inside the car, it will trigger. |

Also, page 43 of the manual shows the rear view mirror and the "white circular looking thing underneath" |

I love my car but non dimming mirror annoys the heck out of me. The rear view ones has a sensor to dim the mirrors when a car shines on the them but the two side mirrors do not.
I guess I have to drive fast and out of view then |
