Really like it overall. Specially the bigger front grills (similar to F48) and those tail-lights (an homage to E83).
Not sure about the headlights though. They remind me of those nasty vile F20/F21 headlights before the facelift . Was hoping for a much more aggressive and angry look like the new F48. |

I wonder what the base price of the m40i will be?
It would be great if it's only 2%-3% more than current 35i X-drive but I have a feeling it may be more.

Looks great! I had a black with terra-cotta leather E83. The pics bring back good memories. I may be looking to grab a M40i in a few years for my wife. Good job on the design.

I think it looks great, especially that blue color! Nothing wrong with the front end IMO, and I'm super glad they didn't connect the headlights to the kidney grill. The rear end looks awesome, especially the taillights.
I think I may buy this and then in about 4-5 years get into a X3M. |

The exterior looks really good. Need to see the base models next after the launch cars. Sometimes I think that with certain colors the Xs look better with the black trim.

It's ok. Too bad ok is not enough these days..competition got pretty stiff.
I miss the times when BMW was actually pushing design limits of its time..ahead of competition..now it's just "any other" car manufacturer..and tbh, I doubt it'll drive any better than the macan, for those hoping that it will be good in at least something, other than hauling stuff and being confortable. And the X4 will have the same front. But that's nothing we didn't expect, so no big deal here. |

I like the angularity of the front and rear of my current X3 who's design is spot on IMO. This is nice but very X1 like. Yet another BMW product with inappropriate use of the M logo and brand. The watering down continues.

It's nice (but not unexpected) to see the 5 and 7 tech trickle down. Is that the larger 10.3" iDrive screen?

Looks more athletic, less pedestrian. We'll wait to see in real world...M40i probably plenty of giddy-up for me. I wouldnt have to wait for the real "M" to be satisfied.
Sick to death of all the jelly bean SUV's out there. All the same hp, all the same nannies, all the same early autonomous crap. Now the question for me is how much did they update a dowdy interior in need of a major upgrade?
If they didnt check many or most of these boxes? They havE NO chance of getting my future crossover business. If I even go cross-over.
