Software Update on a UK 2014 LCI

I have put my VIN number into the BMW update site and it has generated a software update file for me to use.

The file is called UPD07032.bin

I have saved it to a newly FAT32 formated USB stick, but the sotfware update complains of incompatible USB file. The USB stick is empty apart from this file - no folders or partitions. It is only a 1GB size but plenty big enough for the update file.

My current versions are:
Media: MV-010.006.019
Phone: TV-010.006.019

As far as I know this software has not been updated since I took delivery almost 4 years ago.

Any ideas anyone ?

Cheers
Phil

My UK X3 (2013 X3 xDrive 30d) does not have USB in the Glove Box, so that option is a none starter. I think it might be the same for other similar year cars including 2.0d.

I plugged it into USB socket in Arm rest - Like Peter I do not have a USB socket in the glove box. Probably a UK build restriction.

Did you ever get this working? I have exactly the same version of the software currently and the same update is recommended for me...
