Hi all - I have a 2014 BMW X3 and during Nov 2017 my car was showing low pressure and my wife she drove back home slowly as they run on flat. The next morning I found both front tires were worn out inside and I was able to see the strings inside the tire. I took to the dealership and they said we just need an alignment and replace the front tires, which I did. Again in July 2018 same issue happened and upon further diagnosis, they asked me the replace the front right struts and struts mount which I did. Now again when I took the car for oil change they said you both front tires are worn out inside and again they are asking me replace the front struts again.
Did anyone had this issue previously? I have already spent 3000$ but dealership they are not telling me the root cause for this issue. We are 100% sure that we did hit hard in any pot hole or any curb. Any suggestion with really help. Don’t want to spend more money and again come to same situation.

Sorry to hear this on your 1'st Post and the $Amount your Dealer or should i say Stealer has taken from you.
Being a Non Technical person, hears what I would do.
I would find an Independent Tire and or Suspension Specialist. Tell the Owner or Manager everything and have them look at your concerns, including are the Wheels Aligned and Correct Tires are Fitted.
Pay for their Report and it depends if you still have BMW Warranty where you go from there.

Make sure that you get a FULL alignment check including Caster, Camber, KPI, toe-in / toe-out on both front and rear axles PLUS also front to rear alignment.

This is a must. You are wasting time and money if you do not.

okay, back to my original issue here:
I had the dealer perform an alignment despite it being more expensive than my local place by quite a margin...
The only value that was out of spec enough to be printed in red was front toe. The max negative front toe allowable showed as -0.12 degrees, which is where the car was at. This was adjusted (according to the sheet) back to +0.08 degrees.

Since I believe the noises I'm hearing are caused by the front tires wearing as shown in the pictures instead of wearing round, it'll take a bit of time for the tires to re-wear properly and reduce the noises I hear. I could swap left/right again to accelerate the re-wear of the tread blocks because it briefly changed the sounds when i did it earlier but I'll leave it alone for now and see what I get after the wife drives it a little while.

tires don't just wear out of round on their own. If the alignment didn't make much of a change, something else caused it...other suspension parts...and once those are replaced you will need another alignment.
