OEM MAG Wheel Part Numbers? Size 20x8.5J ET35

Hi guys, I am looking for some assistance as my local BMW Dealer cannot help me...

I had an incident a while ago and ran over a piece of construction steel on the freeway, the thing broke both aftermarket Mag Wheels on the left side. So now I need a replacement set, and the repair guy can't source anything apart from some 19x7.5J's. BMW Dealer can only offer a staggered setup, not what I would prefer.

Does anyone have OEM Part Numbers available for 20x8.5J's with an ET35 offset? This was my existing setup running on 275/35/20s with no clearance issues. I would prefer a Black or Black Polished Aluminium design to fit the existing coloursceme.

BMW offered a staggered setup in 8.5x20 et38 and 10x20 et51. Just buy four of the 8.5x20 front wheels to run in a non-staggered setup. They're M double-spoke style 680. PN 36117854208 for the 8.5x20. (If anyone cares, it's 36117854209 for the 10x20.)

Factory tire size for those tires would be 245/40/20. Your 275's seem kind of wide for them, but it should work out fine since that was what you were running before. These wheels do move the centerline 3mm farther outboard. I doubt it will be an issue.

Hi Richard,

My local BMW agent can't help me at the moment with technical specifications, some network problems... They could however give me pricing on two wheel sets of 20x8.5s with a 38ET. The only question I have is if these would be Extra Load, and if so what rating. I'm looking at getting replacements for load ratings of 880kg per wheel, thus as close as possible.

Should you have access to BMW technical information, would it be possible for you to confirm the Load Ratings of the following OEM Part Numbers?
Option #1 - B36 11 6 864 262
Option #2 - B36 11 6 787 582

I would truly appreciate your help as ordering a pair would take another month to ship and I've been without my X3 for 3 months now.

Sorry for the late reply.

I don't have access to any detailed tech info. Both of these wheels are specified for the F25/F26 X3/X4 and will be fine in either front or rear positions.

Keep in mind that the front wheels are the ones that see the most dynamic forces acting on them from braking and steering. The rear wheels have it easy.

BMW part nbrs have 11 digits…sometimes you will see the last 7 digits used. You posted 12 digit numbers…taking a guess…I’ll remove the “B”.

As mentioned above, if these are g01 wheels…then the load rating shouldn’t be an issue because they are designed to be used on any G01 BMW…BMW wouldn’t make/design a wheel that doesn’t support the load for this model…and if you click on the part number (at the links below) you’ll see what models the wheels were designed to be used on as well as each wheel’s specs:
