Strange the genuine ACS ones are hollow at the back! I’d say the knock offs are a better design!

I found that odd as well.

Wireless charging DIY option: — First, I purchased a thin, flat, rectangle wireless charging pad. Then I found a square cardboard box and placed it behind the cup holders where the factory wireless charging base goes. Then I laid the wireless charging pad I purchased on top of the cardboard box and tucked the charging cable in the small area next to the box. I can still close the cover with my phone on the pad and conceal it —. It works well and multiple passengers thought it was a factory installed feature. It's not a perfect solution but it's pretty clean, very cheap, effective and completely removable within seconds if desired.

I did something similar to that for my wife to test out if she liked wireless charging before doing the factory retrofit and that mat is now next to the bed and she's still charging with a cable in the car.

I like that a lot! Would you mind sharing where you got these from and how easy is installation?

It was very easy no installation required. I bought a few different wireless pads from Wal Mart and Target, I wanted to see which fit the best. As it turns out the first one I tried worked perfect so I didn't even need to others. I can't remember which store this one came from. They were all between $15 and $40, I think the one used was around $20.00. The brand is tzumi, it's a thin rectangle shape. It's only about an 1/8 inch thick and a little bit wider and longer than an iPhone X, I then found square cardboard box to set it on, this allows the charging pad to be elevated about an inch or more but it also creates a space to tuck and hide the charging cable, the all I did was plug it into the charging port behind the cup holder. I added a few pics of the box and the charging pad.

I drove it to Target. Dropped my wife off at physical therapy, and drove to Lowes home improvement store. I then picked her up to go home. I drove to work, parked it, worked, then drove home.

I purchased it from getbmwparts.com. It is the vinyl for the 5 series which I modified for the g01. Installation was a bit tricky as I needed to get alignment correct and cut.

This would have also been much easier if the car was on a lift.

I washed it and made it look pretty. Then I drove my daughter back to her apartment in Chapel Hill, NC. i noticed a little paint chip at bottom of tailgate. My challenge will be to try to repair it. I got glasscoat, but doubt they could get on the very round bottom of tailgate. I must relax to steady my hand when fixing.

Try using a kit from Dr. Colorchip to repair that chip on your tailgate.

Took my bumper “boomerangs” to the paint shop to get done in gloss black.

Was very happy to find that the boomerangs can be removed from the grille pieces, so my car doesn’t have huge holes in the bumper, and the parking sensors work whilst the ‘rangs are getting painted!

Go to the One and ONLY - "Alex Window Tint" - his reviews on Yelp are perfect and his customer service is AMAZING. Hands down one of the best experiences i've had with any of my cars. WOW. Such a consummate professional. He has awesome prices too. Lowest of all I've quoted for Ceramic tint. Jut tell him the asian guy with the silver X3 sent you He'll know.
