Dispatched from Factory! - Any California folks?
Saw today that my vehicle was "Dispatched from Factory"
I looked around on the forum to get an idea of long it would take to get to the next step which is "At the port" From your experience, how long did it take to get from factory to port to dealership? Also curious if any California members could chime in from experience. Thanks! |

Mine just moved to this same stage this morning. It was a long weekend. Depending upon when the train actually departs, should be in Oxnard before end of the month. Looking forward to its arrival at dealer soon thereafter, a week or less, I hope!

I never saw "Awaiting Carrier Assignment". Train to SoCal must have been waiting. Early this morning I saw "Ready for Transport". Then a few hours later I saw "Dispatched from Factory".

I placed my order on 2/17/19 and have a breakdown below:
3/2/19 - All of these happened (according to MyBmw site) Exterior assembly begins In paint booth Entering assembly line Assembly in progress 1 day break/gap. 3/4/19 - All of these happened (according to MyBmw site) Quality check Final assembly Ready for transport Awaiting carrier assignment Dispatched from factory As you can see, multiple things happened on these 2 days. And they were all added at the same time relatively. As if now, I'm waiting for the next part of the dispatch from factory. Hope that helps! |

My X3 was stuck at the "At The Port" phase for almost 2 weeks, so be prepared to wait once it gets to that phase.

I got those exact words from the BMW Genius when I called in for a confirmation as well. ETA to arrive in Oxnard March 19th.
He advised after it arrives in Oxnard, it can take a "couple days" to reach the dealership. I'm in the San Francisco/Bay Area. |

I ordered mine on Feb 23rd and it remained in production queue until this AM then went all the way to awaiting carrier, which is where it stands now. I'm in the Midwest so hopefully faster to ship here.

I am about 12 miles from the VPC in Oxnard and the dealer is about 12 miles the other side of me in Thousand Oaks.

Mine took 8 days to travel by train to the VPC in Oxnard. It was there 2 days and arrived at the dealer 3 days later. Even though my dealer is about a 2 hour drive from Oxnard, the long transit time (extra 2 days) was because the truck broke down along the way.
From what I have seen, the delivery trucks are some real old junker trucks. All driven by sub-contracted owner-operators. |

I'm also in CA. The status shown on the order status page seemed to get "optimistic" - the status changed to "At the port" when BMW genius said it was on the train. Said "At the dealership" a few days before it actually was. Call the BMW genius hotline if you want real status. They're happy to talk to you about it.

No update yet. My sales guy said he would let me know when it arrived at the VPC. Could be Monday or Tuesday coming up. Next status change on My Garage is "In transit", meaning to the dealer. May never see that.

Ok gotcha, yeah same news on my end. Still in the "at the port" phase but I know 100% it's on the way to the VPC in Oxnard via my discussion with SA. Keep me posted!

Mine still says "In Transit" and it has been at the dealer for a week tomorrow. I am picking it up Sunday. I don't know how the system is updated? Cool idea but not really sure about accuracy?
