Hey guys,

Im not sure if anybody saw my post in another thread but I have been lurking on this forum for a few months and finally decided to post after placing my BMW order. Im coming from a 2015 Cadillac CTS. I have been researching this car since August and have test driven it 3 times already. Anyways I finally placed my order last week on the 2019 X4 M40i

COLOR: Phytonic Blue Metallic

WHEELS: 19" M Double-spoke bi-color wheels, style 698M with all-season run-flat tires

UPHOLSTERY: Cognac Vernasca Leather w/contrast stitching/piping

TRIM: Fineline Cove Matte Finish Wood Trim

Congrats! I am jealous for M40i engine, I just opted for 30i due to budget and costs..

Congrats on the build, I have the cognac interior too, but with carbon black wrapping the package. Coming from an X5, I too was amazed with the handling and quickness of this X4 M40i. Since you just placed that order, I hope you try and do the PCD thing. It's really a great way to get the BMW juices flowing, especially on the tracks.

Thanks guys! I will be posting updates and definitely a photoshoot once I have the car. I was originally going to go for the dark graphite matellic/Canberra Beige/Black Vernasca Leather color combination. But there is just something about the Phytonic Blue on these models...

And BSquared+, the cognac interior is just such a unique color. I thought cognac looked really ugly in online photos but I fell in love with it once I saw it a few times in person. I also opted for the 19" wheels because I live in New York where the roads aren't great. Ive had so many blowouts on my current car wheels (18" with low profile Pirellis) at the worst times that I dont want to chance it anymore.

And I was originally going to get the xDrive30i version. I scheduled a test drive back in September for the 30i but the dealership only had the M40i once I got there. I figured why not try it..... However, after driving the M40i there was no going back.

I then test drove the 30i a few weeks later, but I couldnt get over the M40i lol it was just too good!

And Im not sure about the steering wheel but from what Ive read online and here, it will most likely not come with the M sport steering wheel. I do plan to add one if it doesnt!

The g02 does not get the m sport steering wheel this go around . Maybe 2020

But he's retrofit is possible

Congrats! What color combination did you end up going with?

Also, this my very last week with my 2015 Cadillac CTS. I got this back in September of 2015. This was my first car and I had a blast with it. But its time to move on to the next chapter

Thanks. I was nervous about the look of the 19s but I actually really like them a lot too. And the ride quality over pot holes and damaged roads is incredible! Im really glad I went with the 19s

The only mod I may do is the M streering wheel. But I wont be doing it at least until February-March
