I think 15 front , 12 rear is ideal.

I'm going 15 all around because they are on sale and in stock at a known online vendor.

It's funny because 10/ 15 up front has a similar wow effect.

Can't wait to see it!
I'm using you as a beta tester as we have the same exact summer and winter setups

Thanks for all the pics! Very Helpful! With my 21's I think 15 all around should be a nice fit! (18 up front may be cutting it a little too close).

iND measured the X3 today to look into possible HRE wheels

IND recommended 10mm all around, but arciga's pics show 15mm front and 20mm rear to look pretty promising!

So spacers come down to personal taste and depend on wheel / tire combination.

This is my wife's daily so I'll keep it basic .

I'll update with any news from ind or HRE.

It's funny that you mentioned this.

I almost bought wrong ones for merc/Audi on ecs tuning.

The ones I need are not in stock and not on sale so I'm going to sit on this until I find a sale or ecs has their own in stock.

I choose not to pay sticker price if possible

Goal: Purely visual. This is my wifes DD.

The CB and and bolt pattern is the same as the G30 so I figure I could make this work if I buy G30 spacers from ECS tuning.

I tested 15mm and 20 mm in the rear (remember I had a flat a couple days ago so I had to take off the Spare) and saw no issues at all. I might need to have some people sit in the second row just to make sure.

Also, since I would need extended lug bolts I figured I could buy racing studs from APEX (M14 x 1.25 x 90mm kit). Then I won't be afraid at all that the lug bolts are the wrong length. I am going to e-mail APEX for any input.
Hey Arciga18,

Just spent 20 minutes on the phone with ECS and they're confident this is the correct setup for the M40i (same as the new Audi A4 apparently)... look right?

Looks fine.

Extended Bolts are .5 mm "short" but I thing that's negligible.

Anyone else put spacers on their M40i? H&R or ECS? Torn between 17.5mm ECS or 18/15mm H&R... black or silver with the 21" wheels? Pics and opinions welcomed!

That was the below Zero temps in my unheated garage talking.

When I did a Second test fit I didn't like the look. Too much stance / ghetto fabulous.

How are you liking the look of 15 all around? I'm considering 15 up front and 18 in the rear.

We bought a French bulldog, who happened to get sick with no pet insurance yet and my e90 has been driving me mad with a tpms /rdc module / misfire/ Christmas light cluster .

.... I never ordered the final spacers. Still on the todo list.

Ah shit, that's terrible to hear! Hope it all works out, and also much respect for keeping your E90 (I got rid of my E92 for my X3).

What's your final verdict when you do order your spacers? Will you bring the rears down to 12mm or up to 18mm?

Voyagergab, do you have any pics with the spacers from any other angles? Basically trying to see how much they stick in/out when looking at the vehicle from the front or the back. Thanks for any help you can share!

I don't at the moment but I can take some later this afternoon.
The wheels don't stick out at all and seem pretty much flush.
