When you all speak of contacting a Genius, is that a Genius at the dealership or one at BMWUSA? If the latter, is there a phone number you can share.

This is a great resource for quick questions about you BMW. Also, they have pretty accurate updates about the production status of you new car order. I've called them several times with good results.

Forget the website, call a BMW Genius with your production number. Salesperson will have that, as well as the chassis number. My order placed 12/2/18, picked up at dealership 2/8/19.

ps: M40i is great. At 72 I needed a car I could easily get in and out of. I'd been driving Carreras for years. Liked my wife's X5 so much I tried the M40i. She said go for it and I did. Great car, lots of fun. Enjoy...

I'm in the Bay Area and placed an order on July 9th and it arrived at the dealer on August 15th, and I picked it on the 16th of August.

Love the car so far.
