Scratch - advice please?

Have found a scratch on rear bumper, couple of cm long but very fine.
Photo attached, looks worse in the photo as is magnified. Cant feel the scratch with a thumbnail.

What's the best option for removing it please?

I have used Mer polish in the past which I have been successful with, rubbing a bit at a time and then buffing up. Worth a try....

Hi,
That should easily be removed with T-cut or fine cutting compound followed by a good polish.
Clay bar is also good for these sort of scratches - but you need to keep it well lubricated and never drop it on the ground!
Cheers
Steve

If you spray some water on your scratch and if it fades, then is just a clear coat scratch which can be removed easily with compound.

I would use Farecla G10 on that and see if it comes out. If not then I would go to Farecla G3 first (this makes the paint a little hazy as its a heavier compound) then finish with G10 to bring the shine back up.

I would start with a polish since it is the least aggressive and then move to a compound IF you see the polish is not producing the required result.

Wash, dry, clay, (compound/polish whichever you see fit), IPA wipe, (sealant, wax or protection of your choice)

I have same colour and had minor white scratches on my car. I use G3 scratch remover with a damp G3 white applicator pad. Just remember to only apply both up and down and side to side. Never use in a circular motion.

Make sure if the paint is less than 90 days old, wait before using any of these products. It can do permanent damage to the surrounding area!
