Not as far as I know. What do you need on each drive?

I like to see the temps. Just a little better than watching the miles go up and my car becoming worth less and less

Coding question

Hi all,
This is my first post, I have searched extensively but can't seem to find a definitive answer so i'm hoping someone can kindly offer some advice.
My new car (2014 F25) has 606 Business Nav (CHAMP2 I think, combox in back) I took it to a local coding guy today to have EBT and some other options coded. My idrive menu regarding Bluetooth functions has changed but i still can't stream audio, from my research here i am guessing this is because 6NH was changed to 6NK instead of 6NL (?). He's happy to change this for me if i pop back in on Monday and hopefully it should then work.
Now, the main reason for me wanting EBT is that i am desperate to get the voice command button on the steering wheel to invoke Google Assistant on my phone, does anybody have the same set up or know if this would even be possible? If so do any of the coding guru's on here have any pointers i can share with the coding guy?
Any advice/thoughts would be gratefully received.

6NK and 6NL are both Enhanced Bluetooth, hence both support Bluetooth A2DP Profile for Streaming Audio. The only difference is 6NL has added support / functionality for cars with Telematics (SIM Card). If you cant stream audio, and car has Combox and is coded for EBT, then up-pair phone, and pair it again, and make sure you enable Data in iDrive under both the phone and Bluetooth options.

Apart from that, I don't think Google Assistant can work from Voice Command.

Thanks for the reply Shawn, really appreciate it. Your work here is amazing, looks as though you're right. I think i need a bluetooth genius rather than a coding genius. For some strange reason the phone only recognises the car as a headset and not a speaker. The phone pairs fine to other bt speakers i have and i have tried to pair another phone which still only recognises the car a headset. I have been through all the options and selected each one as per photos

Long Press in NBT can get you Siri. However, I have never seen Google Assistant be possible, and with CHAMP2, I never see any Long Press functionality at all.

Thought it was too good to be true

One of the other coding options i asked for was for the heated seats to permanently remember their last setting (currently only remembers 15mins), he said he had never been asked for this and didn't know how to set it. Shawn?

I live in hope, does this photo mean CIC has some form of voice module?

Voice Recognition (aka voice processing system (SVS)) is Option 620 and it is built into HU_CIC and enabled via a 17 FSC Code and Coding. It is for the owner to issue Voice Commands to car and invoke certain functions, and has nothing to do with Mobile Phone.

You have CHAMP2 you wrote earlier, so I am not sure why you are looking at CIC Schematic.

606 Business Nav cannot be CIC. It would be either HU_CHAMP2, CIC_MID, or newer ENTRYNAV Head Unit.

Sorry for confusion, someone told me that in the grand scheme of things that the car is between CCC and NBT. I'd read that if MOVE 2014-1 is the map version then you have champ2 HU.

Looks like this will never work but thanks for your help and advice guys

If Google Assistant works in NBT as stated above, you could always retrofit NBT Head Unit...

That is definitely an option i'd like to explore. There is one locally for sale on ebay for around £400 but two different indie BMW specialists that i've asked have said that it causes more problems than it solves.

The 2 main issues are the possible loss of Telematics and loosing the ability to have car programmed by dealer without putting CHAMP2 back in.

Yes that part would concern me most, but the more i look into a NBT retrofit the more benefits i see. My car has heated rear seats and it bothers me that I can't see or easily reach the controls, so would NBT give me control through idrive?

That I don't know. My F06 has only heated front seats, not rear.

Do you happen to know if BMW Apps 6NR will work in my car? Would i need a 9C FSC code that i've seen you mention elsewhere?

BMW Apps is not possible in HU_CHAMP2.

I own a 2014 X3 (F25) with no nav and no enhanced bluetooth but has idrive in it. So I am unable to stream music from my phone via bluetooth. After doing some digging i found that Bimmercode or E-sys can be used to code and enable EBT in my car.

1. Lets talk about Bimmercode first. After reading numerous posts, it looks like there is no straight forward way to enable EBT. A looooot of parameters need to be changed and if you miss something, it may not work, or disable other features. If somebody has exact details of the parameters that needs to be changed then please share with me and I may follow that route.

2. E-Sys. It is a powerful tool and by VO/FDL coding, EBT can be enabled. So I have installed E-Sys 3.27.1 and E-Sys Launcher by TokenMaker 2.5.3 build 108. Now the problem is with the launcher. It keeps asking for generation of PIN. After doing some research I found that this launcher works if the system date is set to before 12/31/2017. Also, there is a script written by Tony Twoclicks that sets system date in other places. So set the system time to, say, 10/01/2017 and run that script. Now launcher will launch E-Sys. But I was wondering if that would cause any issue while coding, ex: when I write VO or FDL to the car, will an older system date cause any problem?

I am really new to coding, so any info is helpful. Also, if anybody has coded their F25, please give me the steps that you followed. And when I connect E-Sys to the car, there are many options in the dropdown. Do I have to select the one with F25 in it? I have seen people selecting different one. ex: 1 guy selected F10 for this F30 car.
