Related question: the updated X3 ordering guide lists 3DZ as included in the M Sport Package, which is only available on the 30i models (presumably because the entire contents are default for the M40i). But, 3DZ is listed as NC for the M40i.

Does that mean the M40i necessarily doesn't have the badges or that you need to choose the option? I think we've only seen photos of X4 M40i models with the badges, which supports the former.

I think the "rib" pattern is another indicator that they're the Vernasca leather.

I haven't seen this video posted yet. It shows the X3 M40i in Tanzanite Blue II with cognac Vernasca seats. :-)

Tacora red is not available in Vernasca leather for MY 2022 X3s (at least in the US), only sensatec

That looks like an X4 with the sloped back. It is available for the X4

I still like the other blue better. I think it's the best color for this rig. Very nice though. So does the new hybrid motor delete the stop start function? Dows the engine shut down at a stop no matter what? Lastly it might be the camera but those 19' wheels look awfully small.

Ahh ok yes you're right, looks like an X4. I can't confirm that the 2022 X4 doesn't have Tacora red available in Vernasca leather but I did find this on the website which implies that this is the stitching pattern for the new Sensatec.

For me the X3 LCI looks so much better than pre-LCI. I was debating getting the Q5, but after seeing the LCI edition, I'm definitely getting the X3. I saw a truck carrying these new X3 and loved the look.

I think it would be weird for the X3 and X4 to have different front seats, but I've never really looked at the X4. Check out this video around 2:19 or so when he pulls the plastic away from the seats (that we saw listed as Sensatec on the window sticker):

They aren't the ribbed design, which leads me to think the earlier photo was leather.

Edit: here's the X4 pricing guide which shows Tacora Red Vernasca leather available for the M40i. Now I know where more details for the X4 are. :-)

Looking at stitching detail on the back door insert that can be seen, these are leather. Sensatec doesn't have this detail on the door inserts/door arm rest.

Thanks for this, I've ordered Tanzanite but this is the first time I've seen it on an X3 anywhere except the configurator! Happy with my choice...

Fully agree, once you have seen the LCI the prior model seems slightly outdated already to me.

Dealer called. Car is in! Picking up my 2022 X4 30i on Thursday afternoon. Couldn't be more excited!! Mine is the 1st my dealership is delivering and they are one of the largest in the US. Woo hoo!!! Pics to follow.

My m40i was delivered yesterday. Picking it up hopefully end of the week pending work. There is also an 22 X3 M competition in Toronto Red and my goodness that color is eye popping. Beautiful color and awesome car.
