Hi,

My X3 falls into the official BMW 6NR retrofit category i.e. cable 61122295390
Can someone tell me if it's absolutely necessary to remove the center console cover to get the cable from the base plate to the radio receiver? And if I do, how difficult is it? I fear of having to pull off the gear lever cover, iDrive knob, handbrake button, etc.
