Replacement Wipers (Front)

Looking to replace the front wipers on my F25. The price for OEM wiper set is £50 which seems excessive for a pair of wipers. So is it possible to just replace the rubber blades rather than the entire flexible mount? And if so where did folks get them from (I’m based in the UK)?

Thanks
Simon

i bought some BOSCH blades for my X3 and I think they cost no more than £30 delivered, always bought BOSCH never had any problems with them and seem better than the previous BMW factory fitted ones - plenty of websites that just sell wiper blades.

I always go with BMW blades from the factory. They have worked better than any other blade I have ever used.

There is nothing magical about Original Equipment (OE) parts especially for consumable items like wiper blades. I am guessing that BMW's blades are made by Bosch, Valeo or possibly a US or Mexico supplier (given that many of the parts are of North American origin). Assuming replacement blades are compatible with BMW's odd mounting system, go with the Bosch. Even if they don't have the life of the BMW part (and that's debatable), you can put on two sets for the price charged by your BMW dealer.
