How to remove the wooden trim?

Is the wooden trim on the dashboard easily removable? Should i remove the right air vent then pull the trim from the side?
I want to remove it, put a red strip under it+air vent, then put it back

Use trim tools. They just pop out. If no trim tools, wrap electrical tape around a flat screw driver. Google trim removal BMW and you will have a gazillion hits. Maybe not for F25, but they are all very similar.

I just got this kit and it has everything you will ever need.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

if the link does not work, go to amazon and search "MATCC Car Panel Removal Tools Kit 18pcs"

It may be easier to take that vent off first as you can get to it with the door open easily, which will make getting the wood of easy as you wont have to pry between the wood and vent with a potential of causing damage to the edge of either trim. Go in with a curved end of any suitable tool and pry in opposite corners.

Youtube search trim removal for visual instructions. Good luck!

That piece, which I have never removed, almost certainly does just pry out. But there is some variability in how the other pieces remove from BMWs. On the F25, the large console piece just pulls up from the backside. But on a 6 series there is a screw on the side you have to remove a trim strip to access, and on an E60 5 series there are screws under the shift lever bezel. It just depends on the car. On an F25 the door panel pieces are bolted on from behind, so don't try prying those off.

I can confirm that the front dash piece does not have a screw. It just lifts out. All the door pieces have 2 screws. I replaced all my wood with brushed aluminum. PM me if anyone is interested in a full wood set.
