Thanks! I highly recommend the exhaust controller add on. It really changed the sound profile throughout all the gears and RPM range. I was amazed just how much the factory valve control changes the sound profile and volume.

Does bimmerlink emulate valve controller, or which one is most recommended?

No, the only way to actually open the valves 100% all the time is with an physical valve controller. Even with a tune through BM3 I tested it and their settings don't force them open.

Here are a few:

I might be able to get some rolling shots next week if he has time.
That sounds amazing. What fuse did you pull? Where did you buy it from?

I’m assuming the same can be said for BimmerLink? I haven’t tried the BM3 one yet bc I need my car to be quiet in the AM leaving the neighborhood. With BimmerLink I notice a HUGE difference on the highway when doing OEM vs Open. You’re telling me I can get even more loudness with a valve controller?

I've never used BimmerLink so I'm not 100% sure. If I had to guess it would be similar functionality to the BM3 settings though. I can't imagine BL figured out something that a full ECU flash wouldn't but I could be wrong

Heard one. Sounded like azz to me. The S58 is an amazing engine but tends to sound buzzy and raspy straight-piped. Certainly not the sound of a performance vehicle IMO. You need some kind of muffler with a res-mid delete pipe. I have the ER with the Dinan and has a much deeper tone at all speeds. I wanted the Akra but simply could not afford it.

I'll be launching an exhaust company in the coming weeks.

I'll have the following products available.

Catback valved exhaust
Equal length midpipe with/without resonator
Single midpipe with/without resonator

Pricing will be very competitive, I'll have pics and soundclips of what's available posted once I get around to installing them

currently in production, I'll have pics once it's complete

The catback exhaust is sitting in my garage, waiting for the Single midpipe to show up, then I will install and get some sound clips.

What I’m thinking.

Axle back:
- Remus Sport/Race
- AA
- Dinan

Midpipe:
- AA equal length Downpipe /non-resonated (coming soon!)

Downpipes:
- Sportcats

I started developing a small but not insignificant leak in the muffler. Dealer denied warranty because of course they did. I'm planning on buying this one
