Tried this on my x3m FB group, with no luck, so I figured I would try here hoping someone in parts dept or a scrap yard could help out...

Was running the wiring for the wife's dash cam and I somehow managed to misplace the retaining clip for the attached photos.

21 x3m pass side footwell plastic cover by knee airbags.
Cover Part number is 51-45-9-484-240 (thanks scott) but i cant seem to find the PN for the clips that clip into the instrument panel support bar that these twist locks go into

The clip is 51165A260C9 (item 20). It should be used in conjunction with securing clip - 07149321592. The cover is item 18 on the part diagram.

same thing happened to me, and found this post from my google search. I am sharing what've found, hopefully it will help others with this problem. I think that part/clip is really loose from the factory so I don't think I will be the last person that have this issue. Anyway, the
part # are:
07149393174 - quarter turn lock part #20 above
07 14 9321592 - washer that hold the lock so it won't fall out
07149321590 - I think this is the BMW part # of this 'clip'
luckily, this is not a proprietary BMW only part. I could be wrong, but it is actually made by Southco, this is their D1 DZUS® Dart Quarter-Turn Fasteners part # D1-004-012-010
or D1-004-013-010, 013 is a little bit bigger, so I think this is D1-004-012-010.
as mentioned, since this is not a proprietary part, other European cars like Audi also uses this quarter-turn lock/latch system to keep things in place. just search for part # 4A0-805-163.... I ended up buying a kit for Audi on Amazon that has 10 of these and other stuff in the kit for $15. good luck, I hope this help someone else, as I've spent hours to search for this clip.
