Thud/Thump Changing Gears at WOT - Normal?

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Wanted to check to see if this was normal.

When nailing the gas in Sport+, and it shifts near/at the redline, I notice there is a rather substantial/violent thump when switching to the next gear (transmission doing shifting).

Just wanted to check if this is normal or indicative of an issue?

Me too and the exhaust burp that accompanies it. When my brother, who’s daily is an M4CS, got behind the wheel of my X3M, and ripped it, he simply said “she farts”.

That’s in reference to the exhaust burp WOT shifts.

It's a mild bump compared to MDCT and barely ripple to anyone that has driven SMG, engineered in for little bit of "emotion"
