ICOM purchase

Anyone know of a good place online to purchase an ICOM that doesn't cost me my pinky toe to buy? I'm eyeing one for $170 but I've seen them go up to $300 and $700 and also as low as $80.

From my research, ICOM is needed for programming Fxx with ISTA.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

I got my ICOM from obd2tool.com for $169 + shipping to the US.

You can also use ISTA with a ENET cable which can be purchased from a number of online sites anywhere from $10-$50ish range.

Thanks Apline!

I have an ENET cable that I've been using with ISTA for diagnostic purposes. The reason for the ICOM is that I need it for programming.

I need to reprogram the RDC and HU. My current head unit keeps rebooting... I can't no more navi, backup camera, radio, etc.

I've only ever used an ICOM which works great.

I was not 100% sure whether an ENET could program, so it's nice to know they are only good for diagnostics.

Good luck with your purchase and programming your PDC and HU.

Hi Apline,

So I received the ICOM for over a week now from the website you recommended. I can't seem to get it to work. Specifically, iTool Radar is not reading the ICOM. Nothing shows up so I can't get the IP address to connect to ISTA. Not sure if it's a bad ICOM or if it's a software issue.

You got any ideas? Thanks in advance!
