I turned it off but didn't hear much of a difference but the car with the flaps open is a little drowny below 1500 rpms.

There is a bunch of cool stuff. I had Rich code my car for almost 2 hours with at least 20 notable features.

Update BimmerCode is useless on f97 platform for now

I think it less virtual hum where the ASD produce.
With ASD, it sounds like a drone.

Not sure about Bimmercode, I have been doing it via E-Sys. Locally or remotely.

Useless how?

None of the functions work. Can't code anything like you used to be able to with the F body.

Maybe you need to update it. I have lots of options when I select F97. Granted, I don't know how many options previous F bodies had, but there are definitely some for the F97, and they work.

Maybe. I didn't see any that i really liked, but when Rich did It via ESYS thsts when all the goodies unlocked. Just to name a few - full screen car play Waze etc, different colors led inside, brighter angel eyes, automatic headlights in motion, dvd in motion, auto fold
Mirrors, seat ventilation rom increase, no times on seat ventilation , no timer on heated steering wheel or seats, etc etc etc. maybe I missed It but i didn't see any of these options with bimmercode. I also have a Carly, same thing not much available

Honestly, I haven't seen any of those specific options in the updated bimmercode.

I thought you couldn't code wide screen carplay, needs to be a patch. Folding mirrors is a standard setting, no coding necessary.

It is not as bad as hot red though. I have coded a lot of F90 M5 with hot red ambient light.

Rather it's replacing a bunch of files with hacked files which have been edited. It's getting harder and harder to do too. Used to be it worked off an usb key, now its ESYS by ethernet only, carries a little risk, and it seems BMW are actively trying to close the door on the hack. True. Anyways It works, That's all I care about. I don't understand why bmw wouldn't make it a standard option. It's a standard option in the new idrive 7 but not 6 and was put into a brand new IP, being the 2020 X3M. Makes no sense on their part of it's something that works normally.

Best feature out of the whole coding session.

I've got ASD switched off currently I think it sounds ok. But I suppose if anything it's amplifying the lack of burbling on lift off and cracking on gear changes. All a bit lame this OPF business.

Will switch it back on next week and see which I prefer.

I was speaking to RGSPORT who said he had uploaded ////M color theme on the ambient lighting.
